How the portal handles your information
What is kept
Your name, email address and phone number, your church, and the work you submit, including documents, files and videos. The portal keeps only what the programme needs.
Who can see your work
Your pastor can see all of your work. The teacher of a course can read the work for that course, but not your pastor’s notes. The Institute’s administration can see your work in order to grade it.
Some assignments are private between you and your pastor. For those, administration and teachers see only that the work is complete. You can give administration access to a private assignment, and withdraw it, at any time.
Your pastor’s notes from your weekly meetings are seen by your pastor alone.
Class recordings
Tuesday classes are recorded so that anyone who misses one can catch up. The recordings can be seen by the students in your intake, their pastors, the teacher and administration.
Your rights
The portal follows New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020. You can ask to see or download the information held about you, and ask for it to be corrected.
